RSTW

The learning strategies of NCPA are summed up into an “Ultimate Learning Program” that provides students with tools to help them improve their reading, studying, test taking, and writing (RSTW). Essentially, students will be learning how to learn – from how to study and take effective notes, to efficient reading strategies.

Read: In this portion of the program, students will learn to understand the significance and meaning of what they have read, and able to recall and apply what was learned. In addition, by using the three levels of learning, they can learn faster. Students are taught specific movements that will assist their eyes when reading, as well as ways in which they can practice these techniques.

Study: Knowing how to extract and remember information is crucial. This component of RSTW will instruct students how to assimilate a significant amount of material in a minimal amount of time. They will learn note taking techniques as well as important tips on how to quickly target the most important information they need.

Test: This module will teach the Seven Levels of Knowledge and how to apply that information when preparing for tests. In addition, students will learn valuable strategies for managing their testing time, allowing them to maximize their results. They will also be provided with memory techniques and tips for writing essay exams.

Write: This video series will introduce viewers to specific techniques to use when writing and how the use of tables can drastically reduce writing time. In addition, students will learn ways to alleviate writer’s block and stay focused, as well as improved methods of revising their written work.
